FUCHS Lubricants out to reduce cost, boost sustainable performance with RENOLIN XTREME TEMP 46 hydraulic oil

FUCHS Lubricants Co says its RENOLIN XTREME TEMP 46 high-performance hydraulic oil has been developed to excel in hard-rock mining and heavy-duty earthmoving operations, delivering measurable improvements in operational efficiency, productivity and fuel economy.

Engineered with next-generation API Group III base oils and premium additives, RENOLIN XTREME TEMP 46 answers the industry’s call for cost reduction and sustainable performance, according to FUCHS.

RENOLIN XTREME TEMP 46 has been designed as a universal multi-grade HVLP hydraulic oil to support both stationary and mobile hydraulic systems through its broad operating temperature range and enhanced viscosity index. Users benefit from easier equipment start-up in cold conditions and optimised efficiency during high-temperature operation, resulting in significant fuel savings and extended service intervals up to 400%, it claims. Its robust formulation resists viscosity drop at elevated temperatures, maintains oil integrity and ensures reliable hydrodynamic lubrication even under extreme loads and pressure. This translates to fewer oil changes, longer equipment service life and minimised unscheduled downtime.

Approved to Bosch Rexroth RDE 90245 standards, the fluid meets and exceeds the industry’s stringent requirements for performance and reliability, FUCHS adds.

Operators in mining and earthmoving applications have reported marked gains in productivity (up to 7%), experiencing higher volumetric efficiency and reduced energy consumption (5-20%) over competitor fluids, the company says. The advanced shear-stable and oxidation-resistant additive package preserves lubricant quality and protects vital equipment components, leading to lower overall operating costs. Prolonged fluid life and sustained oil integrity further contribute to higher equipment output and dependable performance, underpinning a more sustainable future for industrial operations.

Recent field data underscores the real-world impact of RENOLIN XTREME TEMP 46 in open-pit mining applications with large hydraulic excavators. In comparative studies, fleets using RENOLIN XTREME TEMP 46 experienced reduced component wear, lower system temperatures and a pronounced decline in varnish formation. Used oil analysis confirmed a sustained reduction in varnish potential and lubricant degradation, resulting in extended drain intervals and meaningful cost savings over previous products. These results validate RENOLIN XTREME TEMP 46 as a reliable solution for maximizing uptime and safeguarding valuable equipment assets in the harshest operational scenarios.
