Schlam delivers 300th Hercules truck tray to Fortescue

Schlam says it has now delivered 300 Hercules truck beds to Fortescue, with the milestone representing long-standing partnership with a valued client while highlighting the growing global impact of Schlam’s Hercules product line.

From the earliest designs to today’s innovations, Schlam’s Hercules truck beds have been driven by one unwavering principle: engineering excellence that delivers tangible results, the company says, noting that the truck beds have consistently outperformed traditional OEM models.

Hercules bed benefits are derived from a smarter, lighter and more durable design, which has been valued and appreciated from the Pilbara’s heat to the sub-zero conditions of Canada and Kazakhstan. In all applications, the truck beds have proven their durability and efficiency time and time again, the company says.

Each of Fortescue’s Hercules beds have been built in the Schlam Forrestfield facility, in Western Australia. This site serves as the company’s head office and its largest manufacturing facility. “It’s where ideas, expertise and precision engineering come together, helping the world’s best hard-rock miners boost their operational performance in a safer and more sustainable way,” Schlam says.

The success of Hercules in Australia has accelerated Schlam’s global expansion. Today, the company’s truck beds support mining operations across continents, helping customers move more material, reduce emissions and extend asset life.
