Programmed adds PLS Pilgangoora to Pilbara mine site client list

Programmed has announced a partnership with PLS to deliver village management services at the Pilgangoora operation, the world’s largest, independent hard-rock lithium operation, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Pilgangoora is home to a workforce operating in a remote environment. Through this agreement, Programmed will support everyday life in the villages, focusing on comfort, consistency, and care for the people who live and work on site.

It will provide integrated services across the operation, including accommodation management, catering, housekeeping, cleaning, retail and wellbeing initiatives.

The mobilisation period for Programmed with PLS has begun and is set to go live in February 2026.

Programmed will deliver services across two villages, which can accommodate more than 1,400 residents. Its teams will manage on-site and off-site operations in close collaboration with PLS to ensure services are reliable, welcoming and responsive to workforce needs, it claims. “This approach enables seamless, meaningful experiences for residents and clients, while ensuring PLS benefits from Australia’s largest site-ready workforce, delivering consistent, high-quality service even in the most remote locations,” the company added.

Graeme Hurn, CEO of Programmed Facility Management, said: “This new agreement with PLS is about more than services; it’s about creating a great experience for everyone at Pilgangoora. We’re proud of the recognition we’ve earned for quality and care, and we’re excited to bring that same commitment to this site as we build a strong, lasting relationship with PLS.”

John Pirie, Head of Facilities Management in Western Australia and Resources, added: “This agreement with PLS represents a real shift in how village services are delivered. We’re bringing fresh thinking and practical solutions that make a tangible difference on site. Backed by our experience and capabilities, we’re excited to set new benchmarks for what facilities management can achieve in the resources sector.”

The new partnership builds on Programmed’s presence in the Pilbara, where it supports operations for Woodside, 29Metals and now PLS.
