Boliden Kokkola selects Roxia’s pressure filtration technology

Zinc plant operator Boliden Kokkola Oy zinc has chosen Roxia Oy from Lappeenranta, Finland, as the pressure filtration technology supplier for the sulphur concentrate dewatering project.

The delivery consists of a new tower press filter with auxiliaries and a capacity increase for existing filter presses. The delivery for this chemically challenging application will take place in the first half of 2026.

“The complete package was technically solid and competitively priced. Communication has been smooth and flexible. We received answers to all our questions within an excellent timeframe,” says Jorma Panula,  Project Manager at Boliden.

Roxia was established in 1993, with roots tracing back to 1960. It specialies in filtration technology for the minerals processing industry and wastewater treatment processes.
