The Executive Director of new energy coalition Common Charge, Mary Rafferty, sat down with me recently to tell us about what the organization is doing. The organization is focused on advancing distributed energy in the United States. “Common Charge is pushing for distributed assets (distributed energy resources) as the solution to deliver affordable energy for all ratepayers and strengthen grid resilience,” the organization shared. “With electrification, data centers, and AI continuing to proliferate, we need to protect ratepayers from price hikes and provide energy security to protect against blackouts or outages.” Common Charge was just launched in September.
