To show its commitment to supporting customers and overall growth in the Thunder Bay, Ontario, and surrounding area, Epiroc is opening a new facility to remain closer to local operations.
This opening will allow the Epiroc team to offer prompt service and support while working collaboratively with customers to help achieve their productivity goals on site, the OEM says.
Thunder Bay, Ontario, and the surrounding area is an increasingly important region for the mining & construction industry in Canada, especially as plans for the “Ring of Fire” continue to develop.
The new facility, located at 1239 Amber Drive, is 9,862 sq.ft (916 sq.m) with warehouse space and a Rock Drill Repair Center.
In the coming months, the building will undergo minor renovations to meet the Epiroc standard, the company says, adding that, once complete, local customers will be welcomed to visit the upgraded facility and meet with the team directly.
It concluded: “Epiroc’s move marks a first step towards becoming a key partner as Thunder Bay transforms into a major hub for the mining & construction industry.”
