Jevons Robotics has announced an agreement with Newmont Australia to deliver an automated, packaged pre-split loading robotic solution designed to materially reduce exposure hours in highwall mining environments.
The solution represents the first payload extension of Jevons Robotics’ proven ARTEV1000 rugged, battery-electric robotic platform. Purpose-built for drill and blast applications, the automated pre-split loading robot is designed to structurally remove personnel from high-risk highwall activities while delivering consistent and repeatable loading outcomes.
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to advancing safety and productivity through practical automation that integrates seamlessly with existing drill and blast workflows and consumables. Todd Peate, Chief Executive Officer of Jevons Robotics, said: “We are really proud to be able to deliver this world-leading product to an organisation so focused on improving safety and productivity outcomes for their operations. This agreement represents the first payload extension of our existing ARTEV1000 platform and reinforces the value our robotic solutions deliver to global miners.”
The deployment marks an important milestone for Jevons Robotics as it continues to industrialise robotic solutions across drill and blast, supporting mining companies to structurally reduce critical risk exposure while maintaining operational performance.
The ARTEV1000 incorporates several groundbreaking technologies from the larger 6000 series. This robotic platform eliminates the need for operators to engage in high-risk activities directly at the blast hole, including hole dipping, stemming, and hose handling in small diameter patterns. By automating these tasks, it effectively reduces operator exposure to manual handing, dust and gas exposures together with an elimination of exposure hours to high walls.
