Chinese OEMs are moving up the size classes in hydraulic mining excavators. On July 6, the LiuGong 200 t class 9200F ultra-large excavator headed to frontline open-pit mining areas after successful delivery to Jiangxi Copper Group, marking it says a further breakthrough for domestically made ultra-large excavators in high-end metallic mining scenarios.
As the new flagship product of LiuGong’s ultra-large excavator product line, the successful delivery of the 9200F the OEM says holds strategic value beyond that of a single piece of equipment. “It further completes the complete equipment puzzle for LiuGong’s large-scale mines, forming efficient synergy with LiuGong’s large-tonnage wide-body vehicles, bulldozers, graders, and other products, providing large mine customers with an integrated full-process solution from mining and transportation to levelling. This is a key move for LiuGong’s deep focus in the mining sector.”
During the delivery ceremony, Executive Director and Vice President of Guangxi LiuGong Machinery, Yuan Shiguo, handed the custom “golden key” to the customer, opening a new starting point for sustained win-win development between both parties.
“This delivery demonstrates the customer’s high trust in LiuGong’s brand, product quality, and full-cycle service, and is also a mutual recognition of both parties’ strengths,” said Vice President Pan Hengliang, who added that LiuGong will provide on-site dedicated technical support, regular special inspections, rapid parts supply, customised maintenance solutions, and 24-hour emergency response to comprehensively ensure stable and efficient equipment operation, “truly allowing customers to use the machine with confidence, work with confidence, and earn with peace of mind.”
The 9200F is customised for heavy-duty mining conditions, equipped with a high-horsepower engine specifically designed for mining, offering strong power output and excellent fuel economy, making it especially suitable for continuous operation under heavy loads. At the same time, the precise matching of the fully electronic control system with the large-displacement electric control pump further improves the equipment’s control accuracy and operational efficiency, reducing energy consumption costs.
The equipment adopts a heavy-duty structural component design, with cast steel supports for large and small arms. The platform chassis uses a reinforced design, with local welded reinforcing ribs, significantly improving the equipment’s service life and reliability. In addition, the long-life hydraulic oil equipped with it offers excellent viscosity-temperature performance, ensuring stable operation of the equipment in cold and high-temperature environments.
