Ministry of Mines Wins Silver Award for Excellence at IITF 2025

The Ministry of Mines has been honoured with the Silver Award for Excellence at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025, recognising its innovative showcase of India’s mineral wealth, technological advancements, and sustainable mining initiatives.

The award was presented during the valedictory ceremony at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, where the Ministry’s pavilion stood out for its interactive exhibits, digital displays, and informative sessions highlighting India’s progress in critical minerals, exploration technologies, and responsible mining practices.

This year’s pavilion featured immersive models of mining operations, live demonstrations of drone-based survey technologies, and detailed presentations on schemes aimed at boosting mineral exploration and fostering industry–academia collaboration. Officials from the Geological Survey of India (GSI), Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM), and several PSUs were present to engage with visitors and industry stakeholders.

The Ministry said the recognition underscores its commitment to promoting transparency, innovation, and sustainability in the mining sector. It also reflects the increasing public and industry interest in India’s strategy to secure critical minerals vital for clean energy, defence, and high-tech manufacturing.

The IITF 2025, themed around innovation and sustainability, witnessed participation from numerous ministries, states, and global exhibitors, with the Ministry of Mines emerging as one of the key attractions for visitors.
