NIO sales continue to rise, with deliveries in May totaling 23,231 vehicles. That’s a 13.1% increase year over year. Through the first five months of the year, sales were up 34.7%, reaching 89,225 deliveries.
From NIO’s first car onward, the company has logged 760,789 deliveries.
Returning to May numbers, the NIO brand itself had 13,270 deliveries, while the newer “family-oriented” ONVO brand had 6,281 deliveries and the newest brand, FIREFLY, had 3,680 deliveries.
Compared to its similarly aged and oriented rival, XPENG, it has to be said that NIO’s not having the best year. Despite having continuous sales growth, it doesn’t compare to XPENG’s. I’ll get to that in a little bit. Stay tuned.
