As part of its ongoing investment projects, Navoi Mining & Metallurgical Company (NMMC) says it continues the phased commissioning of new production capacities. Under the investment project Ore Mining at the Kokpatas and Daugyztau Gold Deposits (Phase III), Grinding Mill No. 8 has been commissioned at its Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 3. The new mill has an annual processing capacity of 700,000 t of gold-bearing ore.
“The commissioning of new grinding mills at the enterprise contributes to improving production performance. While ore processing volumes exceeded 10 million tonnes last year, our team plans to increase this figure to 10.8 million tonnes this year,” said Tolmas Khasanov, Chief Engineer of the Plant.
NMMC said it is worth noting that the grinding mill, along with its equipment and spare parts, was manufactured locally at the Navoi Machine-Building Plant. Construction works were carried out by the Zarafshan Construction Unit and the Northern Administration Unit. The commissioning ceremony was attended by NMMC management, representatives of the Northern Administration Unit, and plant employees.
