Sandvik Secures Automated Mining Equipment Contract with Northern Star in Australia

Sandvik has won a new contract to supply automated loaders and haul trucks to Australian gold miner Northern Star Resources Limited, further strengthening its presence in Australia’s hard-rock mining sector.

Under the agreement, Northern Star, one of Australia’s largest gold producers, has placed an order for a fleet of Sandvik i-series loaders and trucks. The equipment will be deployed across Northern Star’s operations in Western Australia, supporting productivity, safety, and efficiency in underground mining activities.

Commenting on the development, Andrew Dawson, Business Line Manager for Load & Haul at Sandvik, said the company is proud to partner with Northern Star on this significant fleet investment, highlighting Sandvik’s growing role in delivering advanced and automated mining solutions.
