VoltVision, the high voltage electrical data analytics company, says it is forging into 2026 off the back of a transformative year that saw it join ABB’s SynerLeap innovation hub, win new Tier 1 mining clients, and complete flagship deployments across Africa and the Middle East.
This growing footprint is positioning VoltVision firmly at the centre of the mining industry’s drive to cut energy costs, improve network reliability and reduce emissions, it says.
Through SynerLeap, VoltVision has strengthened its position within a global energy ecosystem focused on intelligent power networks and industrial decarbonisation, while gaining access to ABB’s research and development capabilities, market channels and partners to help scale its cloud based ViViD electrical energy and power quality analytics platform for its’ mining customers worldwide.
In 2025, VoltVision also accelerated its international growth strategy specifically targeting Latin America. The company participated in EXPOMIN in Chile and PERUMIN in Peru and, by doing so, it lay the groundwork for commercial expansion in two of the world’s most important copper and gold producing regions. Engagement at these events has helped VoltVision build relationships with Latin American-focused miners and other operators of high and medium voltage (HV/MV) electrical networks, it says.
The year also saw the company further enhance its offering with the development of an Energy Management Strategy solution that combines its plug and play data extraction technology with deep expertise in industrial power networks. Working with Caledonia Mining, VoltVision used this capability to identify significant savings across the power network of its asset portfolio, demonstrating how high resolution data and advanced analytics can unlock and maintain quick win reductions in energy consumption and operating cost.
Large scale installations were also completed at Sukari Gold Mine in Egypt, newly acquired by AngloGold Ashanti, where ViViD is being used to digitise the power network, including across the power generation and processing plants. At Sukari, VoltVision enables engineering teams to monitor and analyse power in near real time, optimise the interaction between different generation sources and automate data driven reporting for engineering, finance and ESG teams, the company says.
VoltVision closed the year by securing a major new mining customer in Zambia, with Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) set to deploy the ViViD platform across three of its Chingola sites. By digitising KCM’s electrical networks and delivering real time power quality and energy analysis, VoltVision will support the operator’s efforts to stabilise supply, reduce unplanned downtime and target lower costs and carbon intensity across its operations.
Throughout the year, VoltVision continued to deliver efficiency gains and electrical network transparency for existing clients including Endeavour Mining, Resolute Mining, Allied Gold and Barrick, where ViViD provides a single source of truth using auditable data to manage power across multi mine portfolios.
“We see 2025 as the year VoltVision firmly established itself as a trusted digital power partner to Tier 1 and mid-tier miners across Africa, the Middle East and now Latin America,” Manoli Yannaghas, Managing Director of VoltVision, says. “By combining our unique approach to data extraction with our ViViD analytics platform and Energy Management Strategy expertise, we are consistently helping clients cut energy waste, improve network reliability and reduce emissions, often with payback periods measured in weeks rather than years.”
Looking ahead, in 2026 VoltVision plans to build on its Latin American momentum by expanding commercial activity in Chile and Peru, converting event-driven engagement into a qualified pipeline and active projects. The company will also continue its expansion across the African mining community, supporting operators that are seeking to mitigate grid instability, reduce diesel usage and meet increasingly stringent ESG and climate targets.
Strengthening its partner ecosystem is another key priority for 2026, with VoltVision looking to add engineering and systems integration partners in core mining regions to accelerate deployments and support on the ground delivery. By working closely with ABB’s mining team and other ecosystem partners within SynerLeap, VoltVision aims to bring greater value to shared customers by combining world-class electrical equipment with advanced digital monitoring and analytics.
“The mining industry is under intense pressure to improve productivity while simultaneously decarbonising and managing increasingly complex energy systems,” Yannaghas added. “Our mission for 2026 is to give mine operators the electrical network visibility and decision support they need to meet those challenges, from Africa’s gold and copper belts to the major mining corridors of Latin America.”
