Jamshedpur — Tata Steel has announced the appointment of Zubin Pallia as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) – India Manufacturing, effective July 2025. Based in Jamshedpur, Pallia will be responsible for leading the Human Resources and Industrial Relations (IR) functions across the company’s vast and diversified manufacturing operations in India.
In his new role, Pallia will spearhead workforce strategy and industrial relations across Tata Steel’s key production centers including Jamshedpur, Kalinganagar, and Meramandali, along with oversight of its engineering projects, commercial units, finance verticals, and key profit centers.

He will also oversee the Center of Excellence (CoE) for contract workforce management, a critical function aimed at streamlining the deployment and governance of contract labor across multiple production sites.
